A mysterious woman shows up at the meeting, she commands total attention from all the attendees. What is her name? What is it that she wants? Detective Sandoval has a hunch, detective Mola is skeptical but follows his partner’s lead. The femme fatale moves quickly around Chicago weaving her criminal conspiracy, the two detectives can barely keep up. Detective Sandoval is relentless, but she has never come up against a character such as this mysterious woman.
Sandoval leans on Jimmy Mack, a two bit low life of the many crawling around Chicago’s underworld, for information on the woman. Can Jimmy Mack really side up to her? As it turns out his life will come to depend on it.
Ramona and Collin finally come across a file on a female suspect long wanted in other countries. Her name is Phuong Ly, could this be their criminal mastermind? Somehow she is able to guess the detectives next move. Chicago’s back streets, industrial avenues, bridges and canals offer Phuong Ly an ideal city-jungle to hide in. As the criminal conspiracy takes shape Ramona finds out she is alone in pursuing the case. Her boss, Lieutenant Krysto De Angelis, wants her out of this case that he sees as too big for her and too far-fetched to put any police resources into it. Only Ramona’s stubborn determination to catch this fearless and machiavellian woman keeps the case moving forward.
